I’m glad I wasn’t around when they tore down the “Drop-in” quonset hut – it would have been too sad.  That hut was my first grade classroom (before the primary wing was built), and appropriately, when I reach Jr. High and Sr. High – it was remodeled into a very GROOVY, FAR-OUT place for teens to hangout.  I especially liked the black lights and listenin’ to the rock n’ roll of the early 70’s there.  Seems to me that the kids visiting to play against the Dragons from SAHS, PAHS, etc. enjoyed the place too.  Of course, we also had a lot of parties there, so it was just a great, have a good time place.  What is there now?  It can’t be nearly as HIP!
